Biography

Les Dupont is a French electronic music group formed in Nice in 1994. The group is considered to be one of the founders of the IDM genre in France (intelligent dance music). Over the course of 23 studio albums and many live tours (Technotravel, Electronic Paris Week, IRCAM Live with artists like Laurent Garnier, Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Daft Punk, Jackson and his Computer Band etc.), they are known for theatrical, industrial-themed live performances and videos.

A 30-Year Journey Through French Independent Electro — Remixed

To mark 30 years of sonic experimentation, French electronic duo Les Dupont release Club Bizarre, a retrospective remix compilation featuring 12 tracks that revisit key moments of their career. From industrial dub to euphoric house, Club Bizarre synthesizes their wide-ranging influences with fresh energy.

The album opens with Renaissance Redux (Burroughs In Tangier Dub Mix), a track infused with literary and cinematic references, including quotes from underground icon William S. Burroughs. Other highlights include remixes from recent EPs and the unreleased Stars (Superstars Extended).

The duo also brings in long-time collaborators and new voices: retro-wave priestess Madmoizel, Basque electro collective Odei, Nice-based DJ Xerosorex, and artist-performer Jean-Luc Verna, each adding a unique texture to the project.

With over 80 singles and 26 albums to their name, Didier Blasco and Louis-Frédéric Apostoly continue to blur the lines between IDM, art-pop, and dancefloor experimentation. Club Bizarre is not just a celebration — it’s a bold reimagination.
